Caravan insurance, horse trailer insurance, and boat trailer insurance all fall under the same category. There are some slight differences in the terms however. Like all insurance policies, Trailer and caravan insurance is a contract between the insurer (insurance company) and the insured (the person taking out the boat trailer insurance or caravan insurance). The insured individual agrees to pay monthly or annual fees called a premium, and in return the boat and trailer insurance company will cover the policy-holder for any financial loss that may occur.
If you are looking to purchase horse trailer insurance for example, obtain at least three quotes and read and compare the policy details closely. You can find out more on understanding your policy in our buying insurance section.
